Have your say on modernising fitness to practise processes for nurses and midwives

The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) has launched an eight week consultation on proposed changes which will improve their fitness to practise procedures, allowing the NMC to be more efficient and effective when investigating the conduct or practice of registrants who fall short of the standards.

The consultation seeks views on:

  • changes to undertakings
  • warnings
  • advice
  • reviewing case examiner decisions
  • equality and diversity
  • transitional provisions.
